All Round Adventure

Due to the wind forecast and sea conditions, our start has been postponed probably until 3 May. After this you be able to follow progress on the track section.

I hope that this website helps you to share my enthusiasm for my dream of sailing around the UK. If you are inspired to join me for my all round adventure, please see the crew section. For those who prefer dry land then this web site will help explain why we are doing this and keep you informed about our progress. If you want to make a donation then our chosen charities are WaterAid, RNLI and Cancer Research.

A circumnavigation of the British Isles will be a spectacular adventure. Inspiring landscapes will combine with sights and sounds that are unique and special to a crew on a yacht. The wildlife will be awesome and we will have the luxury of the time and space to appreciate our environment.

There will also be challenges that will test our patience and resolve, but provide memories that will linger long after the final warp has been fixed.

Drink tastes better at sea, as does the food, especially when freshly caught and shared with friends.

This website is here to allow my friends and family to share in my adventure both before during and after the trip. I will try to keep nautical terms down to a minimum and by getting the crew to complete the Blog during their time on board, I hope to provide an ever changing journal that entertains and inspires. This is not just about my experience but the experience that other’s share with me.

Once we have started you should be able to track our progress on Google maps with a live log of our position.

You may well ask Why? So I have tried to provide a plausible explanation.

Raising money for charity provides another good motivational reason for completing and is a key aim. Our chosen charities are:

RNLI: I am hoping not to need their services.

WaterAid: We will have plenty of water, so WaterAid will help us to share this elixir with others less fortunate.

Cancer Research: Due to events close to home.
